Najib said the matter was stated by the representatives of
the Business Council of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) -United
States (US) In a meeting with members of the US-ASEAN Business Council and US
Chamber of Commerce in Manila, Philippines.

Malaysia joined the TPP.
Business representatives had also expressed appreciation to
Malaysia for their efforts in completing the negotiation process, which is
currently in the domestic.
In the meantime, he said, representatives from APEC-US
Business Council, also praised the government's business-friendly approach and
the returns from their investments in Malaysia.
He said that the praise and confidence by business
representatives proves that government policies, including the policy of the
Economic Transformation effective and well received abroad, especially from the
business community.
TPPA stands for Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA)
and is also known as the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement. It is a multilateral free trade agreement
currently being negotiated by 11 countries, led by the US. Malaysia is one of
the parties negotiating in the TPPA. It aims to further liberalise the
economies of the Asia-Pacific region.
Covering a broad spectrum of areas and has 29 chapters (and counting),
some areas affect our public health, environment and courts system.
