Facebook Starts Rolling Out Live Video Streaming to Everyone

In an attempt of effort to take on Twitter's Periscope, Facebook is launch to give all of its users the ability to broadcast live video to their friends and followers.

Facebook is now run and rolling the feature out to everyone inside its flagship app. Starting with a small test today, Facebook users will be able to use a redesigned status menu to select "live video."

On Dec 3, Facebook turned on live video streaming for a small subset of its US-based users on iPhones, bringing a live video broadcast button to their status update form. Live video streams automatically appear in their friends' Facebook news feeds, and broadcasts that have concluded are saved in the timeline like any other video.

Users will see a "live video icon" in their status update area. They can write a description and choose who they want to see the broadcast such as just friends or the public. The number of live viewers, names of friends tuning in and a real-time stream of comments will also be shown. The video will then be saved on their timeline once the live stream ends.

Now when they want go to share a photo using the app, they will see their recent pictures organized based on the time and place that they took them. With a few taps, they can select the photos they want to share, arrange them into grids, give them a title and post them. For now they can only create them on iPhone; Android support is coming next year. But the collages can be viewed on any device, Facebook says.

Haze Become Worst in Malaysia and Other Southeast Asia Country..

In the past two months, Malaysia hit by the worst air pollution of the haze. The haze engulfing not only in Malaysia but almost to every country in Southeast Asia.

The haze occurs as a result of forest fires on a large scale or illegally. This has resulted in air being blown away like mist.

The smoke from Indonesian forest fires permeates all walks of life on the Malay peninsular. Schools have closed, flights are being cancelled and sea traffic through the Malacca Strait, one the world’s busiest shipping lanes, has been delayed because of poor visibility.

Promises to extinguish the fires in Sumatra and Kalimantan, Indonesia, have had little impact to date. Some experts predict that unless persistent rain falls soon, the smog could last until the New Year.

Besides irritating the respiratory tract and the eyes, pollutants in the haze can cause serious long-term damage to health.

The indices used to measure air quality in the region usually measure particulate matter (PM10), fine particulate matter (PM2.5), sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone.

PM2.5 is considered the most dangerous as it can enter deeper into the lungs. It has been associated with causing respiratory illnesses and lung damage.

The forest fires have also destroyed much of the natural habitat of Indonesia's orangutans and released large amounts of damaging carbon into the atmosphere.

Indonesia has been dumping millions of litres of water in affected areas and has sent in the army to help firefighters put out the fires.

In the case of haze, we hope that this pollution could be prevent so that can secure the healthy of citizen and daily life run smoothly.

Vape, Cigarette Hazardous by Dr. Mahathir

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) or vape is equally dangerous because of the high nicotine content in the product.

"Believe me, the electronic cigarette is not good and just like cigarettes. The electronic cigarette produce good aroma and flavor. If you smoke cigarettes, you only get a smell of smoke. But when you suck the electronic cigarette, you get the sweet smell like strawberries and mango.

"The smell is the way popularize electronic cigarette products," he said in his keynote address at the Conference of the International Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for the Prevention of Drug and Substance Abuse Prohibition (IFNGO) and 26th ASEAN NGOs Workshop IFNGO to-22 in Putrajaya on 17 November 2015.

Hence, Dr Mahathir, who is the patron IFNGO Foundation, urged the public, especially parents instill values in against drugs among children and young people so that they understand that drugs are harmful to health and destroy their lives.

Dr Mahathir said that a more effective approach should be adopted to tell young people that drugs can be used as a medicine and should refrain from using it further.

"Parents must notify drugs will shorten their lives and inculcate positive teachings to hate drugs. If they (the young generation) grew up in compliance with these values, they will resist the temptation to use drugs.

"If we all believe in the value system, we will not see drug addicts in our society and we can eradicate drugs forever," he said.

Under British rule long ago, Dr Mahathir said the only rickshaw drivers and workers took opium to relieve fatigue and sleep after a day of work, but now, people take drugs because they are addicted and want to change something in their lives.

"It's worse now because of the influence of drugs can bring someone to a crime such as theft and murder. For example, if a boy is not given money by the mother or father to buy drugs, he would not hesitate to kill them.

"In order to get drugs, he would steal the money and in the process steal, if he is prevented, he will use weapons to kill," said Dr Mahathir.

Dr Mahathir also called on the international community to work together to cripple drug trafficking, because the drug is cross-border crime and the breeze at the border, the report said.

Aerion Corporation Advances On Factory Plans Towards Billionaire's Supersonic Jet

Aerion, a supersonic jet creator that support by Texas Billionaire's Robert Bass, were plans to choose manufacturing site base on first-half of next year as their target of focal point to be the first business aircraft that faster than sound in 2023.

The timeline unveiled Monday fleshes out how Aerion and partner Airbus Group SE intend to build a civilian plane capable of trans-sonic travel, a niche left vacant since the retirement of the Concorde in 2003. The team has made preliminary designs for a carbon-fiber wing structure, fuselage, landing gear and a fuel system, among other components.

“We see clear and achievable technical solutions to the design of a supersonic jet, and a realistic road map for helping Aerion proceed toward construction and flight,” Airbus Senior Vice President Ken McKenzie said in a statement.
Airbus will provide major components and Aerion will do the final assembly, the companies said in the statement released at the National Business Aviation Association trade show in Las Vegas. For the production site, Aerion needs a 100-acre (40-hectare) area near a U.S. airport with a runway at least 9,000 feet (2,700 meters) long, The plan is to break ground on the factory in 2018.
Aerion is targeting the first flight of the AS2 for 2021. The project began in 2002 and was put on hold by the 2008-09 financial crisis.
The collaboration with Airbus announced last year increases Aerion’s chances of building a private jet that can break the sound barrier. The AS2 is intended to fly efficiently at lower speeds over land because of flight restrictions related to sonic booms. Over oceans, the aircraft can accelerate to Mach 1.5, which is 1.5 times the speed of sound or about 750 miles (1,200 kilometers) per hour at sea level.

While military jets have had supersonic capabilities for decades, the economics are daunting for civilian operations. High ticket prices helped do in the Concorde after 27 years of service, which slurped twice as much fuel as a Boeing Co. jumbo jet while carrying only one-fourth as many passengers.

In the years since Air France and British Airways parked their Concordes, would-be supersonic jet developers have turned to business aircraft in hopes of putting newer technology in a smaller airframe to attract wealthy buyers and globe-trotting chief executive officers.
Aerion has begun to choose suppliers and plans to pick an engine maker during the first half of next year, CEO Doug Nichols said in the statement. The cabin will be developed by Inairvation, a venture between Lufthansa Technik AG and F. List GmbH.
“We will proceed with an engine that allows us to meet our performance goals with the minimum changes required,” Nichols said. “Solutions are in sight with today’s engine technology.”
